There is not only Stonehenge, there are many other mysteries around the world and one of them is located in Ohio.
The Serpent Mound winds for 411 meters along a plateau beside Ohio Brush Creek in southern Ohio, on the Serpent Mound crater plateau along the “Ohio Brush Creek in Adams County, Ohio. The snake winds seven coils before ending in a triple coiled tail. Its head is near a cliff above the creek and its seven coiled body ends in a tail.”
It is located on the site of an ancient crater formed by the impact of a meteorite millions of years ago. It is not known whether this event affected on its placement or design.
Native Americans created mounds and built river valleys for cultivation. Unfortunately, these mounds have been destroyed by modern agriculture and not found more in Ohio.
The snake consists of a layer of yellowish clay, ash reinforced with a layer of rocks and covered with earth.
The test a of the snake has an open mouth extending around the eastern end of a long hollow oval 37 m which may represent the snake eating an egg, although some scholars speculate that the oval stroke symbolizes the sun, the body of a frog, or simply the rest of a platform.
