L. Frank Baum is the author of “The Wizard of Oz,” a children’s tale that was first released to the public in the year 1900. A twister whisks little Dorothy Gale away from her home in Kansas and deposits her in the wondrous kingdom of Oz. The tale chronicles Dorothy’s adventures in Oz. Here, she encounters a plethora of bizarre characters, such as the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, and together, they begin on a trip to visit the powerful Wizard of Oz and ask him to assist each of them in turning their dreams become reality.
During the course of their journey, they also come across the Wicked Witch of the West, who works to thwart the protagonists’ efforts to complete their objective. However, the protagonists are able to prevail over the challenges they face and complete their objective with the assistance of one another.
The novel “The Wizard of Oz,” which was first published in 1900 and has since become a children’s literature classic, has been turned into a great number of stage productions, musicals, and movies, including the acclaimed film version from 1939, which starred Judy Garland as Dorothy.
