As you might know, for several years now the Leeds and Reading festivals are on the same weekend with the same lineup, but on different days. The Reading Festival is the oldest summer music festival still in existence, in fact it started in 1961 in Richmond and since 1969 has been held in Reading
The two festivals take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend.
The Reading Festival is held at Little John’s Farm on Richfield Avenue in the center of Reading near Caversham Bridge. The Leeds Festival is held in Bramham Park, near Wetherby, the park of a historic residence.
The headliners and most of the supporting acts in general play at both venues, with Reading’s Friday lineup becoming Leeds Saturday lineup, Reading Saturday lineup playing Leeds Sunday, and Leeds Friday lineup taking part in Reading Sunday.
Campsites are available at both sites and weekend tickets include camping. they also sell day tickets.
In the 2022 the festival is from the 26th to the 28 August and we have Dave, Arctic Monkeys, Rage Against the Machine, Bastille and the very Italian Måneskin. Tickets can be found here.
