Il gufo e la gattina è una filastrocca senza senso scritto da Edward Lear nel 1871 che parla di una storia d’amore tra un gufo e una gattina. Edward Lear era uno scrittore, poeta e illustratore famoso oggi soprattutto per i suoi poemi surreali, anche se al tempo era anche uno scrittore di viaggi e illustratore di fauna e flora.
